We expedite and maximize recovery on damaged vacant properties, both pre and post-sale. Our team of expert claim professionals has proven experience in effectively managing claims for servicers and investors. MSI has a Government (FHA and VA), Conventional and REO programs to best fit each customer’s needs.
MSI has the flexibility to get the job done right and have the IT solutions to back the entire process. Our process starts at the review stage to validate that the loan has insurable damage. Once damage is confirmed, MSI Hazard Claims will file the claim with the correct carrier, allow adjuster access to the property and follow up until settlement is completed. MSI Hazard Claims will verify that the settlement is accurate; if the claim has been denied the denial will be reviewed to dispute if necessary. Once verification or dispute of settlement has occurred we will complete the next appropriate steps which could consist of ensuring insurance checks have been sent and applied appropriately, complete closing steps, or initiate repair management if repairs are requested.
MSI Hazard Claims has a very aggressive work queue system and timeframe table to ensure expectations are being met. We have developed our proprietary system and created state of the art technology for the claims management process. Our queue based work flow system tracks step by step processes, follows updates and identifies past due items. The Claims Management System tracks and timestamps key steps within the process. Important steps that are tracked by the system include communication with adjuster, settlement, repair, and recoverable timeframes. If a step is late, the step will turn red for easy identification when reviewing the loan. Timeframe reports are available for review.
MSI Hazard Claims can create a process to fit each client and investor. Some of the priority steps that MSI takes to ensure to meet timeframe expectations:
• Initial research to determine correct carrier without delay
• Timely follow up and access information to adjuster to move claim through the steps
• Providing all pertinent information to the adjusters
• Continuous follow up with adjuster until settlement
• Managing and reviewing all insurance settlements to determine all damages are accounted for and profit is maximized
MSI Hazard Claims FHA Program has some additional benefits:
• MSI completes HUD Conveyance extensions on P260 and supplies all documentation to support the extension request
• MSI files over allowable requests to ensure the property is in conveyance condition once repairs are completed
• MSI ensures that post sale loans are in conveyance condition so the client can convey the property without additional delays.
